June 2009 – A new association – The International Guild of Sponsors (IGS) has been launched to provide a global forum for members to debate and discuss the pressing issues of the day and share experiences for mutual benefit and the craft of sponsorship worldwide.

The not-for-profit corporation for experienced sponsors and CSR professionals working for corporate or government departments, is the brainchild of Sponsorship expert Paul Pednault. “The IGS, said Paul, provides a unique closed environment for members to interact daily via an online networking tool on the site and annually face to face at our members’ conference”.

“Given the current climate there could not be a better time for this unique association to launch as sponsors and CSR professionals face unique challenges for their craft and where interacting with their peers from around the world will provide shared solutions for the future”.
